Individuals who sign-up for this event are indicating they are interested in
being randomly selected to play in the Buena Vista 3.0 League. There is no maximum number of P2P members that can sign-up for this lottery event. This sign-up will be available until 7/27/2024 and a random number generator will be applied to select 12 people to participate in league play (Buena Vista 3.0 League play on Tuesdays in August from 7-9 p.m.).
Please refer to the P2P email distributed on 7/22 to all P2P members describing the August leagues and the process to be followed in selecting league participants.

Salida Ladder - 3.0 Level
P2P Pickleball Club Members: Are you looking for a fun way to test your pickleball skills against a variety of club members within your skill level? Sign up for the Wednesday night ladder at the Salida Centennial Park Courts!

While this email is going out to the entire club, this ladder is only for people who fit the description for Level 3.0! Read the 3.0 skill levels below as well as the other skill level definitions to assist you in determining your level.
3.0 Skill Level (also possesses all 2.5 skills)
- Knows the fundamental rules and can keep score
- Dinks mostly in opposite kitchen and is dinking lower over the net.
-Able to sustain dinking in the game.
- Uses both forehand and backhand on returns and forehands on overhead returns with some control (depth, placement).
- Working at keeping the serve deep and return of serve deep, regularly serves past mid-court.
- Moves quickly towards the non-volley zone when opportunity is there.
- Trying to make flatter returns (where appropriate).
- Sustains short volley sessions at the net.
- Aware of partner's position on the court & moving as a team.
- Developing more power and/or softness in their shots.
- Somewhat a uni-dimensional player working at broadening their playing repertoire.
Please sign-up and show up with your paddle. Arrive promptly at 5:00 to warm up and get ready to play.
We have 4 pickleball courts reserved for this activity and are limiting the registration to 16 people. We encourage wait-listers to come play drop-in games in case of a no-show in the ladder.
These events require a multiple of 4 people to fill the courts. Please do not sign up for this event if you are not confident you will be able to attend the event (barring a last-minute emergency). Please give as much notice as you can if you sign up but can't attend. Players are expected to play the entire scheduled time.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS LADDER IF YOU DON'T FIT THE LEVEL DESCRIPTION! WE WILL HAVE OTHER LADDERS FOR OTHER LEVELS. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR MULTIPLE LADDER LEVELS. YOU MAY PARTICIPATE IN ONLY ONE LEVEL EACH MONTH.
Guided Play #4 - August 1, 2024
Cost: $5.00 non-refundable fee
Registration will open one week before the event
Guided Play Sessions are for P2P Club Members only. Seasoned pickleball players will be at the courts to help with scoring, give tips, and answer questions for novice players who wish to improve their game.
If you register but cannot attend the session, please be sure to cancel your registration, at which time the next person on the waitlist will be notified.

Skills, Drills, & Games: Non-Volley Zone Play
Cost: $25.00 non-refundable
Instructor: Cami Jamerson
Player Level: 3.0 +/-
Clinic Limit: 8 players
This clinic is intended to be flexible and cater to the needs of the participants. The goal is to build consistency and accuracy in order to implement winning strategies.
The clinic will focus on one or more of the following: intentional dinking, volleying, attacking/resetting, blocking, keeping opponents back, shot selection, working with your partner, and technique. We will play skill games and drill. Use these games/drills when you're playing with your friends through the summer! We will finish the session with regular games incorporating the skills we've been working on.
Note: All of Cami's clinics will vary - we will reinforce skills we've worked on in previous clinics and continue to add new drills and games.
The fees collected for this clinic will support the P2P Club and pay for court rental.
If these sessions are in high demand and many people are on the waitlist, please be courteous and let others sign up if you've already had a chance to play.
Skills, Drills and Games: Transition Zone Play
This clinic is intended to be flexible and cater to the needs and interests of the participants. The goal is to build consistency and accuracy in order to elevate your game and implement winning strategies. The clinic will focus on one or more of the following: drives, drops, resets, half-volleys, shot choice, forward movement, technique, split steps, paddle placement, serves, and returns. We will play skills games and drill. Use these games/drills when you're playing with your friends! We will finish the session with regular games incorporating the skills we've been working on.
Note: All of Cami's clinics will vary- we will reinforce skills we've worked on in previous clinics and continue to add new drills and games throughout the summer.
If these sessions are in high demand and many people are on the waitlist, please be courteous and let others sign up if you've already had a chance to attend a clinic.
