Pickleball 201 Clinic

Five 1.5 hour sessions.  This series is for solid beginners who have been playing for a while, are comfortable with the game and competition, and want to break through to intermediate. 

BV Sessions:

Friday, June 10, 17, 24, July 1, and 8 from 11:00 - 12:30

Salida Sessions:

Friday, June 10, 17, 24, July 1 and 8 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m.

We cover all the basic techniques and shots of pickleball, along with basic strategy.  There is a common tendency in recreational pickleball to always try to it a winner, going for the kill even when it's not the smartest shot, and causing a lot of unforced errors.  This series of clinics creates a solid foundation for smart pickleball, learning when to attach, when to reset, and how to make it work.  This series is usually very helpful for any beginner or low intermediate player, especially if you've come from tennis or racquetball and will benefit from honing hyour skils towards pickleball.

Session #1: Lift Dink (reset, good arc, drop close to net)

Session #2: Push Dink (offensive, creating pressure, flatter, crosscourt, last 12 " of kitchen)

Session #3: Drop (long lift dinks, moving in)

Session #4: Drive & Volley (groundstroke drive, serve, and punch volley)

Session #5: Strategy

Suggested donation:   $20 per person per session.  You don't have to sign up for the whole series. . .attending individual sessions is fine.  Minimum 4, maximum 8 people per session.
