Peak to Peak Instructor Requirements
Peak to Peak Sponsored Lessons, Clinics and Learn to Play Classes
Requirements to become a Peak to Peak Pickleball qualified instructor teaching classes offered by Peak to Peak Pickleball Club.
- Become a PPR, PCI, or IPTPA Certified instructor and maintain your certification
- Take two lessons for a total of 4 hours, preferably with 2 different instructors (some suggestions below)
- Shadow a pickleball instructor for 4 hours (Private Lessons, Clinics, Learn to Plays). (New pickleball instructors).
- Hold 2 practice lessons to hone teaching skills. Invite 4 or more club members or friends to participate and gather feedback from them after the sessions. (New pickleball instructors)
- Continuing Education Highly Recommended:
- Suggested instructors/sites: Springs Pickleball in Colo Springs w/ Sandeep, Peak Pickleball in Colo Springs w/ Nick Patterson, Lifetime Fitness in Colo Springs or Denver, Jim Kochanski, Peter Wong BV, Stephanie McDonald BV.
- These are just a few options as there are many more locations on the Front Range and around the country.
- In lieu of requirements 1-4, demonstrate three years of prior experience in teaching pickleball.
