Shots not going where you want?
Pickleball 301 Clinics
by John Wozencraft, IPTPA Certified Instructor
Five 1.5 hour sessions. This series is an intermediate boot camp with more advanced drilling and footwork exercises, playing smarter rather than harder.
Salida Centennial Park Courts
Friday June 10, 17, 24, July 1, and 8 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
BV River Park Courts
Thursday June 9, 16, 23, 30, and July 7 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
It really helps to have learned the ideas and techniques from the 201 series, and now you're pushing yourself to both strong and strategic competitive play. We cover a lot of footwork to support your strokes, and more advanced shots to create pressure on the other team, and reset the ball when you're the one under pressure. Plan on working hard with lots of focused drilling.
Session #1: Lift Dink Reset (using lift dinks to recover when you're under pressure)
Session #2: NVZ Strategy (offense, defense, and court position in a dink rally)
Session #3: Drops & Roll Volley (moving in, keeping your opponent back)
Session #4: Drive & Block Volley (mid-court attack and reset)
Session #5: Shot Selection, When to Attack
Suggested donation: $20 per person per session. You don't have to sign up for the whole series. . .attending individual sessions is fine. Minimum 4, maximum 8 people per session.
"A great pickleball game comes from consistent shots, proper shot selection, good teamwork, and a lot of patience! The longer the point lasts, and the more strategy you develop, the more fun it gets! This is my basic curriculum, and I always customize lessons and programs to fit your needs".
