2.5 Beginner Level Play
This Salida night of Pickleball is for a skill level of 2.5 (Beginners).

Read the 2.5 skill levels below to assist you in determining your level. Registration for this event should be based on respect for the event's level of play. Signing up for this 2.5 Beginner play should be based on a reasonable and honest assessment of your level. YOU SHOULD SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT IF YOU WOULD CONSIDER REGISTERING FOR A 2.5 NON-CLUB TOURNAMENT.
2.5 Skill Level (also possesses all 2.0 skills)
- Ability to serve "in" more regularly than a brand new player.
- Knows two-bounce rule and demonstrates it most times.
-Knows where to stand on the court during serve, receipt of serve and general play.
- Is mastering keeping score and has the basic rules down 100%
- Is capable of hitting a few dinks in a row
- Working on their form for forehand and backhand ground strokes, accuracy is variable
- Approaches the non-volley line to hit volleys
- Attempts other shots, (lobs, drops) with varying degrees of success
- Can keep the ball in play longer than a brand new player.
Play will begin at 6:00 p.m. Come a bit early for an opportunity to warm up prior to play.
We have 4 pickleball courts reserved for this activity and are limiting the registration to 16 people.
These events require a multiple of 4 people to fill the courts. Please do not sign up for this event if you are not confident you will be able to attend the event (barring a last-minute emergency). Please give as much notice as you can if you sign up but can't attend. Players are expected to play the entire scheduled time.
