  The Peak to Peak Pickleball Club is again hosting Meet, Greet, and Play Sessions at the Centennial Park Salida  for beginners.  That would include those who haven't played pickleball at all or those who have VERY limited playing experience with no formal instruction.  This will be a chance for you to learn the game or improve your skills and meet players at your same skill level.  There will be a few experienced players available to guide your play, give you basic tips (basic rules and game play) and answer your questions.  This is one of the only P2P social events that is open to non-members so be sure to invite your friends (that you have been wanting to introduce to the game of pickleball) to be guests at the event.  Guests can register for the event by going to the P2P website and signing up through the events tab.   

   There is no additional cost for this event. 

  IMPORTANT:  PLEASE WEAR APPROPRIATE COURT SHOES (e.g. sneakers.  DO NOT wear hiking shoes or boots)

   AS THESE ARE POPULAR EVENTS, PLEASE CANCEL YOUR REGISTRATION IF YOU FIND YOU CAN'T MAKE IT AFTER REGISTERING.

  This clinic will help participants learn to play points with intention and a plan to win points, not just hit the ball back. It is best for players that are working to get to the next level of play, and already possess the basic shots. Participants will learn to have preferred shots for each part of a point and how to make them happen. This is a broad clinic that will allow players to have clear expectations, as opposed to thinking of the game as an infinitely complex set of reactions. We will drill preferred shots at each part of the court. Then end with short games for real world application of playing with purpose. This is a fun clinic and also part of a more competitive way of playing.

  This clinic will show the main uses for spin and the techniques to make it happen. Spin is important for success in pickleball, not as a trick shot, but for making basic shots more effective. We will learn and drill two topspin shots and two underspin (slice) shots. Note, you will need to practice spin consistently to make it a regular part of your game. It may feel awkward at first but if you stick with it, it can lift your game to a new level.

  This clinic is focused on skill development.  The bulk of the session will be devoted to drills and modified games that allow for lots of repetitions so we are developing greater consistency, accuracy, strength, and fitness.  Plan on learning drills, games, and activities that you can do with your friends!
  

  You MUST cancel if you can not make it.  Your cancellation activates the waitlist, which is important since we need multiples of 4 for this activity.  Please refrain from cancelling at the last minute if at all possible.  If you are on the waitlist, please monitor your email the night before and the day of the event.

  $10 online fee is non-refundable.
